It’s so nice to meet you — I’m Dr. Hannah
Dr. Hannah Alise Karczewski Selvig,
PT, DPT, Ph.D.c.
University of Michigan Doctor of Physical Therapy
Ph.D. Candidate
National & State Award Recipient
Researcher | Speaker | Clinician
I created Rxercise to be the kind of care I believe should be the standard—intentional, one-on-one, and built entirely around you.
That means no double bookings, no shortcuts, and no cookie-cutter plans. Just thoughtful, performance-driven care grounded in clinical expertise and designed to help you move, feel, and perform at your best.
My approach is both professional and personal. After undergoing spinal fusion for scoliosis, I spent years as a patient before ever becoming a provider. That experience continues to shape how I show up for the people I work with—because I understand what it feels like to be on both sides of care.
I earned my Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Michigan and am currently completing my Ph.D. As both a clinician and researcher, I’m committed to advancing the field through research, clinical practice, and innovative models of patient-centered care. I’ve been honored with national and state recognition in physical therapy, but what matters most to me is delivering care that is deeply individualized and effective.
I believe the best outcomes come from understanding the full picture—not just isolated symptoms. I take the time to uncover the why behind your limitations and build a detailed, personalized plan that reflects your goals, your lifestyle, and what actually works for you.
Whether your goal is to lift heavy, move without pain, or simply get up from the toilet with ease—or to lift heavy now so you can do that later—your care is designed with your whole life in mind, not just individual body parts.
And if your condition ever falls outside my clinical scope, I will always guide you to a trusted provider who can best support your next step. Your outcome matters more than anything.
My work extends beyond the clinic into research, education, and leadership within the physical therapy profession.
